Day Two, Mizoram University
Prof. Lianzela, Vice Chancellor, Mizoram University graced the 2nd day of the Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav - North East 2017 as Chief Guest today (March 29, 2017) at Multipurpose Hall, Mizoram University The programme was chaired by Shri R. Hmingthanzuala, Director, Art & Culture, Government of Mizorm.The cultural programme was started by an eye catching folk dance of Sarlamkai by Sakawrtuichhun YMA, Mizoram followed by following dances - Hozagiri –Tripura; Cheraw Buhzaaih - Vaivakawn Cultural Club; Tlanglam – Zonun Cultural Club, Kanan; Wangala – Meghalaya ; Chawnlam – Zofa Cultural Club, Chandmari West ; Nepli dance –Mizoram Gorkha Youth Association Headquarter ; Solakia – Dingdi Cultural Club, Dinthar ; Tenem Sungjok dance (Ao Naga) – Nagaland ; Chheihlam – Chandmari Cultural Club ; Chawnglaizawn – Govt. Complex Cultural Club ; Sili dance –Sikkim and Cheraw Kantluang – Senhri Cultural Club T. Romnia College.
Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav
The last day of the Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav 2017 - North East (Mizoram) was graced Dr. V. Kathiresan, DEAN, College of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, Central Agricultural University, (CVSc & A, H, CAU), Selesih, Aizawl as Chief Guest at Sihphir Village Venghlun YMA Hall at 11:00 AM today (March 30, 2017). The programme was chaired by Smt. Carol VLMS Dawngkimi, Joint Director, Art & Culture, Government of Mizoram. The three day Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav 2017 - North East (Mizoram) closing function was ended with the cultural extravaganza saw magnificent cultural performance where the different dance troupes from Mizoram and Zonal Cultural Centres danced to their tunes alongside each other—a cultural blend of magnanimous proportions.
